Canada 5000L Homogenizing kettle

June of 2019, two sets of 5000L capacity Vacuum Emulsifying Mixer plants with external homogenize system were finished and tested well in Berbica workshop, headed to the final destination - The customer’s facility at Toronto of Canada.

Usually, people design it in fixed platform style for such a big capacity mixing kettle. On the purpose of help customer with easy operation, clean and maintenance, Berbica engineer team took the challenge and successfully to make the kettle top cover supports lift up and down function, by applying two hydraulic cylinder control system on both sides, balancing the big kettle weight. Frankly speaking, this was our first time to see such a big capacity kettle cover with lift up and down function.

August, 2019, three of Berbica technicians arrived at the customer’s facility in Toronto. Working with a local famous logistic support team, two sets 5000L mixing plants were setup smoothly in one day. The team stayed one more week there, trained and helped the customer production team operate the kettle, also tested batches of products production successfully.

Thanks to our client’s feedback, we did and won a “Nice Job” from this order and supporting trip in Canada. :) Please review the 5000L kettle test result. (Cosmetic powder materials).

Canada 5000L mixing kettle

During this trip, we viewed customer's production plant--Mixing componding kettles & filling production lines, learnt about some process in real cosmetic production. We would like to take the chance and share you more.

Some cosmetic products process won't need vacuum system, while the heating system is necessary. In old days, people use electric jacket heating method- Only suit for small scale production, higher powder consumption doesn't satisfy the eco-friendly environment theme, and heating is very slow. Now more and more production plants setup a separate steam generation room, supply steam heating for all the kettles, more efficiency and steam water recyle is a very eco-friendly way. Steam pipelines equip with pressure valves and dispaly gauges ensure its safety. Still, same as we did for our customers, we suggest you to get the kettle jackets under ASME or CRN standard, usually should be 0.4MPA standard for steam heating. 0.2MPA pressure is also fine, but may slowing down the heating efficiency if it is for bigger kettle jackets. It is not diffcicult to make the pressure kettle jackets, while if no ASME or CRN codes and documents, factory may face a inspection and won't be allowed to use it, especially in North America.

We met a third party in Canada who is specialized in "PHSR inspection", to inspect all machinery working safety which is very strict. For example, PHSR checklist for Hazards safety protection. If the machine has any potential harmful points, it never pass their inspection. Luckily, we have learnt about some of the ponts before we ship the machines to Canda. We made the kettle stairs gaps smaller, and CRN plates sticked out of the kettle walls passed the inspection.

Apprecite your time reading this blog! Berbica team is very open and happy to discuss with you if you have any suggestions, learn from each other and keep improving our machines.
